Teacher Lee Play-To-Learn

We are reaching out to you on behalf of Teacher Lee Play-To-Learn™, a not-for-profit based in Rancho Bernardo. Teacher Lee provides a wonderful early childhood development program to parents at the 4S Ranch library and offers a free preschool education to many of the 49% of children across San Diego who do not qualify for Head Start. For the past four years this amazing teacher has funded the program out of her own savings and using her own materials and equipment.

To help pay for the free preschool program, Teacher Lee has created a crowdfunding campaign that is currently underway. For a small contribution you can be the first to own a signed first edition of the Teacher Lee book and DVD set. Use it to prepare your own children or grandchildren for kindergarten or give it is an wonderful gift to friends and family. If you have a business, there are also corporate donation options that we are sure you will love. She needs the support of our community, so please visit her campaign at http://igg.me/at/teacherlee/x/2138802.

According to Teacher Lee, "even the smallest contribution is incredibly important. The campaign has to reach its funding goal of $30,000 by the 18th of April or the nonprofit receives nothing at all."

We would love to have you and all our friends contribute so we can ensure that this important program continues at our library for many years to come.

Teacher Lee is doing very important work. Some statistics related to children who receive no preschool prior to kindergarten:
  • They are 70% more likely to be arrested for a violent crime.
  • They are 50% more likely to experience a teenage pregnancy
  • There is a 24% higher chance that they will not attend a four year college
  • Their dropout rates are higher and lifetime earnings are lower
Let's pull together as a community and help a great friend of the 4S Ranch Library. Please visit the Teacher Lee indiegogo.com page at http://igg.me/at/teacherlee/x/2138802 and contribute today.
